International University Week

The International University Week (IUW) is a one-week English-language event organized by the Socrates University Network of European Schools of Social Work (SocNet98). It brings together students and lecturers from 16 different European universities in the fields of social work and social sciences to participate in workshops, excursions, and other social activities. This event offers a unique opportunity for short-term intercultural exchange and networking across borders. It takes place every year at the beginning of the summer semester at three to four different locations across Europe.

Bachelor’s students in the Department of Social Work can apply to participate, subject to available spots. To support your participation, partial funding for travel expenses can be requested through the International Office. If interested, you must enroll in the “International University Week (IUW)” course during the preceding winter semester. Participation can be credited as an elective module I (Module 1.213) upon submission of a report (you can find examples of previous IUW reports here).
